Thousands expected at Paisley's Christmas Lights Switch On

Saturday 17 November

12noon – 6pm

Paisley Town Centre

Join Santa, Rudolph and some very special musical guests at Paisley’s big Christmas Lights switch on.

The town’s annual Christmas party will get underway on Saturday 17 November with music and entertainment from the Capital FM DJs and a glittering parade featuring hundreds of tinsel-clad youngsters, live reindeer and of course, Santa Claus himself!

There will be loads happening for children and families, including a funfair; storytelling igloo, Santa’s Grotto and a dedicated Kids Zone inside Paisley Town Hall offering everything from face painting to glitter tattoos and Christmas crafts. And, for anyone with a sweet tooth, don’t miss Limetree Larder’s free chocolate making workshops to have a go at making your very own chocolate Dasher, Dancer, Prancer or Vixen.

We’ve got Christmas shopping covered too, as we welcome the Urban Market to Paisley Abbey for the very first time. Head there for original gifts and creative crafts from some of the best artists and makers in Scotland.

On our Christmas stage we’ll welcome performances from family-favourites Funbox, the Princesses of Pop will pay tribute to the music of Ariana Grande and Little Mix and X-Factor stars The Cutkelvins will perform just before the big switch on at 6pm.

Time to look out that Santa hat!
