Santa backs the bid for Paisley 2021
Santa has taken time out of his very busy Christmas schedule to support Paisley’s bid for City of Culture 2021.
As Father Christmas stopped by on his way back to the North Pole he admitted that Paisley is his favourite town to fly over due to its warm festive spirit.
Santa is backing Paisley’s bid to be UK City of Culture and hopes this Christmas will be a very special one for the people and the town.
He explained why Paisley is one of his favourite places: “The pride that Paisley and its people has is undeniable.
“Paisley deserves to win the 2021 bid. I’d love to see it happen because the town deserves it. I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas.”
Renfrewshire’s Provost Anne Hall added: “It was really nice of Santa to take time out during his busiest time of the year and tell us how much he loves visiting Paisley every Christmas.
“Word about the Paisley 2021 bid has obviously reached all the way to Lapland. With Santa backing the bid it looks like we’re onto a winner.”
