Paisley Creative Festival kicks off in the town
A special festival celebrating creativity has launched in the heart of Paisley.
The Paisley Creative Festival 2017 has been organised by West College Scotland Creative Industries students, showcasing their talents through a series of end-of-year events.
The festival runs from June 1 - 8 and celebrates art, music, photography, media and much more in the town as Paisley bids to be UK City of Culture 2021.
Students from West College Scotland's Paisley, Greenock and Clydebank campuses are all taking part in events during the week.
The festival kicks off with a stunning Paisley Campus HND Photography Exhibition at Paisley Abbey on Thursday 1 June from 1:30pm - 3pm before the Paisley Campus HND Graphic Design and Interior Design Showcase at Paisley Arts Centre from 5pm - 8pm that evening.
All day music events by Greenock Campus HN & NC Music take place at Causeyside Street's Feel the Grove music store and Bungalow Bar on Thursday 1 June and Friday 2 June. Later that day, the Clydebank Campus HN & NC Photography and Media will host a Showreel and Exhibition at the InCube Shop at 9B Gilmour Street.
Paisley Campus HND Design Students MOYA are set to create an Art Wall at Mad Hatter's on Gauze Street on Thursday 8 June, from 4pm - 6pm.
The Paisley Campus Fine Art Exhibition will take place later that evening at Paisley Museum and Art Gallery from 5pm - 8pm. The spectacular exhibition will run until Tuesday 23rd June.
A week-long photography exhibition will also be held by Paisley Campus NC Photography at Saporito on Old Sneddon Street.
Everyone is invited to attend the fantastic events taking place in Paisley over the course of one exciting week.
