John Byrne backs the bid
One of Scotland's best know artists and playwrights has announced his support for Paisley's bid for UK City of Culture.
John Bryne, writer of The Slab Boys and Tutti Frutti declared his support when he spoke to the Herald Scotland ahead of his new show at the Fine Art Society in Edinburgh, read the full article online here.
He said: "Paisley is a remarkable place. I hope to be involved in the bid. I support it wholeheartedly. I thank Ferguslie Park every day of my life for providing me all the information I ever needed about life, it was the best place I have ever been."
Byrne joins Team Paisley along with other famous faces including Paolo Nutini, Nick Nairn, Hue and Cry, Des Clarke not to mention the cast of thousands made up of our partners, businesses, local and international supporters who have already got behind the bid.
